WHY ISLAM ?

ASSALAMUALAIKUM ~

Bought at Tesco Kajang for RM3.90

WALK THE TALK

Islam is the world's fastest-growing religion
(Sources : National Geographic, The Economist, CNN and BBC)

Muslims have a duty to explain to others what Islam is
and invite them to learn the way of peace by following The Straight Path.
Muslims must walk their talk by being examples of their faith.

REVERSION

The person who embraces Islam is returning to its original sinless state.
''Reversion'' and not ''conversion'' is therefore
the correct description of this process.

Those who embraces Islam are Muslims.
They are not ''reverts'', ''converts'' or ''new brothers''

PERFECT WORK

Islam's coherent structure of moral teaching
and practical life programme attracted me.
Its is a perfect work of architecture.
All its parts complement each other;
nothing is superfluous or lacking

*Muhammad Asad (Leopald Weiss)*

COMPREHENSIVE

We are here to know, love and serve God.
Islam furnishes the most comprehensive
and understandable way to practice
this on a daily basis.

*Nuh Ha Mim Keller*

TRUE FREEDOM

I am attracted to Islam's concept of One God.
Nothing is like Him.
This belief in the Oneness of God liberates man from
servitude to anyhuman being
and that is a true freedom.
The direct relationship between
God and His servants also attracted me.

*Ibrahim Khalil (Philobus)*

PERFECTION

Islam is perfection.
Compared to other scriptures,
The Qur'an is like the Sun compared to a match.
Anyone who reads the word of Allah
with a mind that is not completely closed to the Truth,
will become a Muslim.

*Saifuddin Dirk Walter Mosig*

JESUS IN THE QUR'AN

I have not renounced Jesus (pbuh)
as he is described in The Qur'an.
He was conceived in a miraculous manner,
a prophet and a righteous man.
He really saved people
and thus is called
Messiah in The Qur'an/

*Viacheslav Sergeevich*

INNER PEACE

When I read The Qur'an.
I really felt that this is
a belief that I should have.
I can't really explain it.
Only one who has reverted would understand,
because it's a feeling, an inner peace.

*Canadian sister*

DIRECT LINE

As a Muslim I need no mediator nor conduit to rely upon.
I can have a direct line with God anytime I want.

*Yvonne Ridley*

HARMONY

The createdness of what exists around us is obvious;
Islam undoubtedly finds itself
in the reatest harmony
with overall reality.

*Murad Hofmann*

BOOKS AGAINST ISLAM

I came to Islam after reading the books written against Islam.
I felt that these writers feared
the dynamism of Islam.
They put it to utter disgrace
because they feared it.

*Dr Khalid Sheldrik*

FLAWLESS

My study of The Qur'an led me
to the conclusion that Islam is flawless
and that the defects which we see in some Muslims
are not defects of Islam.

*Muhammad Asad (Leopald Weiss)*

NO CONTRADICTION

The teaching of Islam
gained ground in my heart because
there is no intricacy, confusion, contradiction nor superstition in them.

*Mussa Rweechungura*

REASON

I wanted a religion with
no priest and a regular ritual component
to discipline my mind;
and I did not want to trade away reason.
The more I learned about Islam,
the more it appeared to to conform to
what I was after.

*Michael Wolfe*

UNSTAINED

Whereas pictures, icons and signs
are still being worshipped by others,
things of this nature do not exist in Islam.
This is and indication of how
pure and unstained a religion Islam is.

*Donald S. Rockwell*

A CLEAR WAY

I found Islam irresistible.
It made sense of all the world's faiths.
It is clear, simple way to believe in God.

*Lucy Bushill-Matthews*

BEYOND WORDS

I know it sounds cliched,
but Allah came knocking at my heart.
That's really how it feels.
In many ways it is beyond articulating,
rather like falling in love.

*Elizabeth L.*

ONENESS OF GOD

It is pure monotheism.
It has a clear moral system.
No scriptures expresses the message
of the Oneness of God
as clearly as the Qur'an.

*Yahya*

BELIEVABLE

The Qur'an offers a believable way
to understand God and an account
of how to live as Muslim.
In Islam one approaches God
without all the baggage.

*Cherie Lyle*

GOD'S MERCY

Its is not through an act of the
mind or will that anyone becomes a Muslim,
but rather through the Mercy of God,
and this, in the final analysis,
was what brought me to Islam in 1997.

*Nuh Ha Mim Keller*

SLOW DAWNING

It was a slow dawning.
It wasn't like I woke up one night and said,
''This is it !''
Reading The Qur'an answered
my questions of faith in a logical manner.

*Carole Sturm*

WRITTEN FOR ME

Peace was slowly spreading
over my heart as I began to read.
I felt as if some of the passages
of The Qur'an were written for me.

*Lynette Wehner*

SCIENCE

I am convinced that
The Qur'ani s the Word of God.
Things mentioned in The Qur'an were discoverd
by scientists in the last 100 years.
The only one who could have known
those things 1400 years ago was
God.

*Khadija Evans*

LIBERATING

Because you cover yourself up
you're not seen as a sex symbol
and because people can't judge you
on your appearance,
they have to judge you
as a human being.
Thats quite liberating.
You don't need anything else once you've found Islam.

*Bahiya Malik (Lucy Norris)*

PURPOSE

Praying five times a day is really focused.
It gives you a purpose in your life.
The Qur'an is like a guide to help you;
when you read it,
it makes you feel better.

*Tasnim Salih (Kimberley McCrindle)*

REASON

Having a mind that accepts ideas
on their factual merit makes believing
in a religion difficult because
most religions require acceptance by faith.
Islam appeals to man's reasoning.

*Dr Jeffrey Lang*

BOOKS

A lot of stereotypes kept me from studying about Islam.
Later, the more I learned about Islam,
the more my head and heart told me
that this was what I was looking for all along.
The Qur'an and books by Abu Ameenah Philips
had a major impact.

*Sumayyah Bint Joan (Angelene McLaren)*

EMBRACES RESPONSIBILITY

The emphasis in Islam on responsibility
(for choosing right over wrong)
made a lot of sense to me - it didn't absolve people
from responsibility for their actions.
But when they embrace that responsibility,
it gives them a sense of peace.

*Dr Ingrid Mattson*

MADE SENSE

What The Qur'an contains made sense to me.
If you wish to take the right path,
come to Islam - do not let
ignorance or pride keep you away.

*Amina (Irish sister)*

GUIDED

The message of The Holy Qur'an
immediately attracted me and
I am convinced that it is a divine revelation.
I believe only Allah guided me, none else.
I don't know what made me deserve Islam.

*Abdur-Raheem Greene*

READING HABIT

It was my habit of reading that brought me to Islam.
After coming to Islam, I still love to read but
I am no longer searching (for the Truth)

*Shafeeq Abdullah Muhammad (Juan Alvardo)*

It was through reading The Qur'an that I
became aware of the presence of God and
was convinced of it - that is what touched my heart

*Dr Ingrid Mattson*

LIBERATED

When I became a servant of Allah,
I became liberated from all other forms of servitude.
Others may think they are liberated
but they are addicted to hoarding
wealth, unlawful sex and intoxicants.

*Yahya Donald W. Flood*

REFLECT AND REASON

I did not come into contact with any Muslim before I embraced Islam.
I read The Qur'an first.
Everything made so much sense.
The Qur'an asks you to reflect and reason,
and not worship the sun or moon
but the One Who has created everything.

*Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens)*

MUHAMMAD (PEACE BE UPON HIM)

Muslims do not pray to Muhammad (pbuh).
In fact it is forbidden to pray to him.
He is the final and last Prophet.
There has been no prophet after him.
He was sent as a Messenger to All Mankind;
the earlier Prophets were sent as
Messengers to particular communities.

*Khadijah 'Sue' Watson*

NOTHING IRRATIONAL

The logical and fascinating style of
The Qur'an penetrated deep into my soul.
In Islam there is no irrational or unbelievable
tenet or anything contradictory
to modern sciences.

*Dr Hamid Marcus*

IMMACULATE

I became Muslim after examining Islam minutely,
looking for the possible faults in it
and finding their answers,
and reaching the conclusion that
it is and immaculate religion.
Now I boast about being a Muslim.

*Mavis B. Jolly*

LOGIC AND REASONING

Reading The Qur'an and listening to Muslims
brought me to Islam.
The logic and reasoning of The Qur'an
and the scientific facts in it
made it clear to me that this
was not the work of a man,
but the words of God.

*Ulf Karlsson*

EQUALITY

If anyone tries to show that Muslim women
shouldn't own property, be educated,
take leadership in government, vote, control,
their own finances or do anything else that men do,
they won't find the proof in The Qur'an.
I've found nothing but equality for women in The Qur'an.

*Mimi Ma*

TOTAL ABSTINENCE ASSOCIATION

I looked into the life of Muhammad (pbuh)
without the spectacles of bigotry and malice,
and was impressed by his great achievements for humanity.
Islam is the most powerful Total Abstinence Association
in the world.

*Sir Jalaluddin Lauder Brunton*

THE ALMIGHTY KNOWS BEST

In Islam prayers are used to say thanks to
Almighty God for all His blessigns
since He knows what is necessary for our welfare
and grants us what we need without asking it.
I realized that this is really what I believed.

*Cecilia Mahmuda Cannolly*

DEAD SURE

I wondered why Muslims even those
who are drug addicts are all 'dead sure'
that Islam is the true religion.
One Muslim told me
''Ask and when you have no more questions to ask, then convert.''
After reading several books including
'The Basis of Muslim Belief' by Gary Miller.
I could not find one single reason not to embrace Islam.

*Ihsan Chua Gim Sam*

FEELING OF PEACE

Listening to the prayer call
and the recitation of The Qur'an
gave me a kind of solace,
which I had never felt before.
I wanted to know more about Islam.
My readings and discussions
led me to embrace Islam.

*Fathima Ranshiz*

PURE

In Islam, Prophets are humans
and it is Allah alone who does the neat tricks,
and He alone is to be worshipped.
Islamic monotheism is the most
pure form of worship.

*Maryam Butson*

AUTHENTIC

I studied The Holy Qur'an in detail.
I did not come across anything which
would make me doubt its
authenticity and relevance.
I became a Muslim on August 4, 1994

*Asiya Abd al-Zahir*

ILLUSION OF FREEDOM

I chose Islam
rather than the illusory freedom of secular life.
If Islam oppresses women,
why are so many educated young women all over the world
abandoning 'liberty' and 'independence'
and embracing Islam ?

*Nakata Khaula*

PERFECT

I tried to find evidence to prove that
Islam was not the truth
but it was impossible;
all books that said negative things about Islam,
I already knew they were lying.
I have come to realize that Islam is perfect,
Muslims are not.
I am not perfect.
I am really working on it.

*Sophie Jenkins*

CLEANLINESS

Cleanliness, an essential principle in medicine,
is in Islam a commandment of Allah.
Muslims are required to clean themselves
before acts of worship,
a requirement that I
had not seen in other religions.

*Dr Benoist Ali Saliman*

COMMON SENSE

The belief in One God is
perfectly agreeable with common sense.
I read many books including
those written to revile Islam.
To me they were no more than
additional evidence corroborating
the fact that Islam is the true religion.

*Thomas Irving*

TRUTH

Other religions contain some truth.
In Islam everything rests on truth.
Islam provided the truest answers to my queries.
Islam showed me the right way.
To have peace and comfort in this world
and salvation in the Hereafter,
I embraced Islam.

*Mesuda Steinmann*

ENEMY OF RACISM

The Qur'an answered my questions.
The 13th verse of Surah 49 made it clear to me
that Islam is the sworn enemy of racism.
This was a powerful verse for me because of my past
(involvement in the Ku Klux Klan)

*Abdussalam Sipes (Clinto Sipes)*

EASY

Some people think that Islam is hard.
The truth is Islam is easy.
Allah does not wish any difficulty on the believers.
Islam is my light at the end of the tunnel.

*Tavis Adibudeen*

LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE

Some say Islam's inheritance law is
discriminatory as it awards the
male twice as much as the female.
These people look at one piece of the puzzle
and judge the whole picture.
What they fail to say is that
men have financial responsibilities in Islam
that women do not have.

*Afyah Alshaibani*

IN ALLAH'S COMPANY

I do not need to utter beliefs.
My hijab states clearly God exists,
reminds me to conduct myself as a Muslim,
and signals loud and clear to others that
''I am forbidden for you.''
In hijab, I feel protected as if
I am in Allah's company.

*Nakata Khaula*

EQUALITY

The quality of equality in Islam
magnetized me towards it.
For example,
when Muslims pray in the mosques,
special places are not allotted for the leadership.

*Donald S. Rockwell*

CONSERVATION

Islam catered to the humanitarian in me.
It offered brotherhood of man, equality,
women's rights, conservation of Earth's resources,
a purpose to life and the promise of Eternal Life in
clear and precise terms.
I eagerly stepped through the doorway
and into Islam.

*Najibah Barham*

LOGICAL AND NATURAL

We need boundaries and guidelines.
The problems in today's world
are due to humans not following
the guidance set by God.
Everything in Islam is logical and natural.
I now have the peace I was searching for.

*Robin Chami*

EASY TO PRACTICE

I would like to invite non-Muslim readers
to give Islam a try.
It's easy to practice.
Remember that Allah The Merciful
has brought you to this page,
to these words .... for a reason.

*Nadia Green*

CONTINUATION

I realized that Judaism, Christianity and Islam
are continuations of one another.
Islam encourage us to seek knowledge
and submit fully to the Way of God
to find eternal peace.
Since becoming Muslim,
I have completed my Bachelor of Education.

*Aminah Riddle*

MOST IMPORTANT

Eskimos have over 200 words for 'snow'.
Americans use different words for money.
Muslims refer to over 99 attributes of Allah
and that's because it is Allah Who
is most important to them.

*C. Huda Dodge*

LIFE ITSELF

To some people,
religion is a private concern,
like an amateur hobby.
But when I read The Holy Qur'an,
I knew that Islam
is no hobby but life itself !

*Maryam Jameelah (Margaret Peggy Marcus)*

TRUE EQUALITY

I realized that Islam gives true equality
not only to men and women,
but to all races and classes,
and individuals are differentiated
only on their level of piety.

*Karima Slack Razi*

AFTER RESEARCH

I came into Islam
after more than 30 years of research
and life experience.
Attaining peace through submission to Allah
impressed me the most.
Whenever I feel troubled,
my mind goes to the
soothing words of The Qur'an.

*Suleyman Ahmad*

COME HOME

The Qur'an portrays God
and the Creation as I perceived them.
I was overjoyed as my beliefs were verified.
It made me believe that
I had come home.

*Najibah Barham*

EMBRYOLOGY

When I read The Qur'an
I cried in joy of finding the truth.
I was graduating in microbiology at that time.
The descriptions of the
embryological process in The Qur'an
(unknown at that time) impressed me.
Once I was sure The Qur'an
is truly from God.
I accepted Islam.

*Erin Sumaya Fannoun*

COMPLETE SYSTEM

The teachings of Islam resembled the values
I had been taught; belief in God,
respect for others, truthfulness, courtesy,
charity and honour.
In Islam these are
integrated into a complete system
that is easy to understand.

*Greg Noakes*

PERSONAL FREEDOM

Islam does not restrict personal freedom,
but provides directions and guides
which enable a well-contrived freedom.

*Dr Hamid Marcus*

AMERICA

Islam erases from society the race problem.
In the Muslim world, I have met people who
in America would have been considered white
- but the 'white' attitude was removed
from their minds by Islam.

*Malik al-Shabazz (Malcolm X)*

America needs Islam.
Islam is growing here at a tremendous rate,
and shows no sign of slowing down.

*Sumayyah Bint Joan (Angelene McLaren)*

NO PRIESTHOOD OR CHOSEN RACE

In Islam, there is no priesthood
that is considered infallible in matters of interpretation.
There is no Chosen ace.
The Qur'an is comprehensible to a layman.
When I read it, I became convinced
of the truth and authenticity
of Allah's teachings in its 114 chapters.

*Yahiye Adam*

FOUND THE MISSING PIECES

I came to know that Muslims believed
in all the previous prophets,
the miraculous birth of Jesus (pbuh),
that there is no original sin,
there is no need for a mediator,
that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet
and that there was another prophet - Muhammadf (pbuh)
I found that I had discovered all the
missing pieces that i had been searching for.

*Aminah Vanderdrift*

PIECES AND HAPPINESS

The more I read, the more convinced
I became that only Islam can bring
peace and happiness.
In Islam, we are not born in sin
and do not need redemption,
and our salvation depends
entirely on our actions.

*Lady Evelyn Zeinab Cobbold*

SUPERFICIAL FREEDOM

It seems that a Western woman's happiness
hinges on her access to nightclubs,
alcohol and revealing clothes; and
the absence of such freedom in Islam is seen
as an infringement of basic rights.
Such superficialities have
very little to do with true happiness.

*Haiqa Khan*

VERY DEFINITE

Islam is very practical, providing guidance
on every aspect, including prayers, diet,
cleanliness, manners and respect for parents.
Right and wrong are definite in Islam.
Limits are set.
I was never able to find this (in my previous religion).
I thank God daily
for the gift of Islam.

*Zahrah Riddle*

COMMANDED TO HELP THE POOR

In Islam, the rich must help the poor
by giving them a percentage of their wealth (zakat) annually.
It is one of Islam's commandments.
Such an explicit requirement does not exist in other religions.

*Husain Rofe*

MEANINGFUL

I found myself agreeing with
what I was reading in The Qur'an
rather than arguing against it.
By the time that i had finished reading it,
I was convinced that I had found
something important and meaningful.

*Bushra Finch*

WORSHIP THE CREATOR

In Islam, we worship The Creator.
Others worship stones, or men as incarnations of God.
You should worship the One that created everything.
Reading The Qur'an will cut down your journey
in search of the truth about life.

*Abd-ul-Waahid Peterson*

PEOPLE OF THE BOOK

I converted entirely through my own convictions.
It was not required for my marriage.
A Muslim male is permitted to marry from
''the People of The Book'' (Jew or Christian).
The Messenger of Islam himself
married both a Christian and a Jew.

FOUND MY WAY

At the moment of my conversion,
no angels sang hymns and
no beam of light hit me,
but I was filled with an enormous
sense of peace and hope.
I finally found my way.

*Nuh Brecheen*

NO DISCRIMINATION

I am not a racist.
I don't believe in racism.
I don't believe in discrimination or segregation.
I believe in Islam.

*Malik al-Shabazz (Malcolm X)*

APPEALS TO THE TRUTH-SEEKER

Islam is rational, natural and appeals to the truth-seeker.
The belief in one God frees us from superstition.
It naturally leads to equality,
for all have been created by the same God
and are the servants of the same Lord.

*Muhammad Aman Hobohm*

HE SEES ME

I converted recently.
I am totally blind.
In Islam, I worship a God that
I don't have to see.
I know that He sees me.

*Malik Mohammed Hassan*

SOLUTION

We all recognize the truth of Malcolm X's declaration
that Islam is the solution to America's racial problem.
I think that Islam is also the solution
to America's moral problem.

*Suleyman Ahmad*

EQUALITY

Standing in Arafah during Hajj was
an exhilarating experience especially
to see the concept of equality in Islam in practice.
People of different colours, races,
heads of state and ordinary men
were praying to God,
all clad in two simple white sheets.

*Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay)*

GOD-AWARENESS 24/7

I found in Islam a religion
that is deep in spiritual truth,
It impacted me in a powerful way.
The Qur'an opened my eyes to the
wonder and mercy of Allah.
Through the five daily prayers,
I found myself in God-awarenedss
24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

*David Pradarelli*

DISCOVERED

I didn't read about Islam and become a Muslim.
I read about Islam and discovered I am a Muslim.
Allah guides who He wills.
May Allah's blessings be upon all believers.
Ameen.

*Najm Uddin Clayton*

A DUTY TO INVITE

Islam is simple but we make it complicated.
My struggle did not end when I reverted.
We must continually strive to
improve and practice our faith,
and all Muslims have a duty
to invite others towards Islam.

*Omar Abdul-Salaam*

RESPECT

I feel a sense of respect
leaving my house in hijab.
My 'worth' is no longer determined by
my physical appearance.
It is my protection from influences
which abuse and degrade women.

*Oum Abdul-Aziz*

LIVING PRINCIPLE

The Qur'an touched me in a way that
nothing else ever had.
When I read the Yusuf Ali translation,
I just cried.
Islam has grown into
a living principle in my life.
I am a better Muslim this year
than I was last year.

*Joanne Richrads*

ONENESS OF GOD

If white Americans could accept
the Oneness of God,
the perhaps they could accept
the Oneness of Man -
and cease to measure, hinder and harm
others in terms of
their differences in color.

*Malik al-Shabazz (Malcolm X)*

MOST ELEVATING

The essence of Islam is acceptance of
the Will of God
and its cornerstone is prayer.
It preaches universal fraternity,
love and benevolence,
and requires purity of mind,
action, speech and cleanliness.
It is the simplest and most elevating form
of religion known to man.

*Muhammad Alexander Russel Web*

MODERN

One girl at university told me to be
more modern (and not wear the hijab).
''How more modern can I get?'' I asked.
I am on the Internet, she is not.
I am finishing my degree, she is not.
I know about the latest news, she does not.

*Um Kalthum*

INNER CHANGE

I found The Qur'an clear and easy to understand.
I experienced a sense of rejuvenation.
It felt like The Qur'an
was alive and speaking directly to me.
I experienced an inner change
and knew that things
would never be the same.

*Khadija Zafar*

START NOW

If you are a born Muslim but have not a dutiful one,
it is not too late.
If you have not started yet,
you can start now.
Keep your head up high
and show the world
that you are proud to be a Muslim.

*Fathima Lienberg*

THE ONE SUPREME

The Mercy of God is boundless.
In Islam I feel assured that the only garment
we can wear is submission and
upon our heads the headgear of praise
and in our hearts love of the One Supreme.

*William Burchell Bashyr Pickard*

BETTER OFF

I was told that I am better off than
those born into Islam because
I had to find and experience
the greatness and mercy of Allah.

*Natassia M.. Kelly*

REASON

The reason for the social decay
of the Muslims is that they had
ceased to follow Islam in spirit.
Islam is still there but
as a body without a soul.

*Muhammad Asad (Leopold Weiss*

ROADMAP

The Qur'an connected all the dots and
provided the roadmap that i was looking for.
The Islamic prayer impacted me the most.
When I declared my faith, I felt liberated.
Now I know the Truth - the Truth of Allah.

*Scott Lynch*

SPIRITUAL SATISFACTION

I found spiritual satisfaction in Islam's
constant impetus to do the right thing,
and my first-class degree was due to the
structure Islam brought to my life.

*Joe Ahmed-Dobson*

ONE CREATOR

The attraction I found in Islam was
the belief in one Allah.
In my earlier faith,
I had to believes in three gods;
this was quite illogical to me.
I realized that a religion based on belief
in One Creator is the true religion.

*Abdullah Battersby*

FOUND THE ANSWERS

No one persuaded me to become a Muslim.
In Islam I found the answers to my doubts
and it satisfied all my expectations.
I could not found any of them in my earlier faith.
I therefore became a Muslim willingly.

*H. F. Fellow*

WOMAN'S RIGHTS

It is easier to undress in American society
than to dress !
You can have an Islamic society where
women are covered and have rights.
And you can have a society where women
who are very scantily clad
don't have those rights.

*Mimi Ma*

CAPTIVATING

I found the recitation of The Qur'an
which is in Arabic and totally foreign to me, so captivating.
Listening to The Qur'an gave me
comfort and strength in difficult times.
From there on, faith was a matter of practice.

*Dr Jeffrey Lang*

TRUTH IN EVERY WORD

Some believe that Muslims are the enemy
(even though they don't know why).
When I read The Qur'an, I was humbled.
It was unlike any other book I have ever read.
There is a ring of truth in every word.

*Tabitha Dencer*

PEACE ENTERED MY LIFE

The more I learned and accepted Islam,
the better my life became.
My inward rebellion and self-pity dissipated as
I submitted to Allah.
Peace entered my life.
I declared my faith in August 2003.

*Lisa Moore*

WE MUST INFORM

Those who have not read The Qur'an
have no idea what Islam represents or
what the teachings of Muhammad (pbuh) are.
Unless we inform them,
they will remain ignorant.

*Majida Amal (Glori)*

IMPRESSED

I read The Qur'an to prove
that Islam is wrong.
The more I read, the more impressed
I was by the logic, consistency and purity of Islam.
The rest is history.
I embraced Islam in 1976.

*Abu Muhammad Abdullah Yousef*

WALKING THE STRAIGHT PATH

Accepting Islam is the easy part,
walking The Straight Path is the hard part.
But I pray to Allah for guidance.
trying to improve in Islam little by little each day.

*Dawood Kinney*

NO FREE RIDE

There is no free ride in Islam.
Every one responsible for his actions.
Islam has the answer to racism, feminism,
abortion, high murder rates and drug selling.
It shows human beings
how to live their lives right.

*Shaheed (Damian Williams)*

THE BEST ARE THE PIOUS

It is the principle of equality that
attracted me to Islam.
We are all equal but the best are
the pious ones who love Allah alone.
Most Americans are uninformed about Islam.
I pray that they will receive
the message of the Oneness of Allah.

*Dr Diane Charles Breslin*

AFFIRMING MY CORE VALUES

As a westerner, when I embraced Islam,
I was affirming my core values.
Islamic law does not conflict with
what my Californian mother taught me.
What western society claims as is own highest ideals
are deeply rooted in Islamic tradition.

*Hamza Yusuf*

I HAVE THE NUMBER

In Islam, we don't have to waste energy.
It's like if I call the operator to get a number,
I wasted energy.
But with Islam,
I have the number.
I get connected directly to God.

*Guadalupe Martinez*

JUDGEMENT DAY

My family just would not accept it.
But it's all right,
because on Judgement Day,
my family won't be able to help.
It will be God.

*Domy Garcia*

LIVING IN HARMONY

Real Islam is about believing
in the One True God,
worshipping Him and living
in harmony with humanity.

*Haroon Campbell*

JESUS IN ISLAM

In Islam I found the real Jesus,
as a leader of the believers,
and a prophet to love as and example.
It was Islam that made me love him.

*Abdul Azim (Greogor Shepherd)*

COMMON GROUND

Allah-willing, new American Muslims
will achieve a balance between their Muslim
identity and their responsibilities as Americans.
Islam is a religion of the middle path;
as Allah is the true source
of common ground for all of us,
then surely we can find a common ground
within ourselves.

*Lee Glaesemann*

NO HOCUS-POCUS

In The Qur'an, there is no hocus-pocus,
no spookism, no mysticism,
just plain, simple understanding ''Truth''.
When I heard the call for the prayer,
I felt a closeness to God
that penetrated my heart and soul.

*Abdussalam Sipes (Clinto Sipes)*

NOTHING TO OFFER

Muslims are the hardest people to convert
to another faith because there is nothing to offer them !
In Islam, there is a relationship with Allah,
forgiveness of sins, salvation,
and promise of Eternal Life.

WAKE UP !

The Qur'an is like a persistent knocking to
awaken those who are completely
absorbed by the life on Earth.
The knocks appear one after the other.
Wake up ! Look around you ! Think !
Reflect ! God is there !
There is planning, trial, accountability,
reckoning, reward, severe punishments and lasting bliss !

*Yahya Donald W. Flood*

It's good to learn but if you want to get credit,
sign up for the class.
Declare your testimony of faith
and let Allah guide you.
Believe me the reward is worth it.
The reward is literally heaven.

*Malik Mohammed Hassan*

THE GREATEST FORCE

My studies convinced me that Islam is
in spite of the deficiencies of the Muslims,
the greatest driving force mankind has ever experienced;
and all my interest,
since then, has centred around
the problem of its regenerations.

*Muhammad Asad (Leopold Weiss)*

LOVELY RELIGION

Muslims are not appreciative of their
possession of so sublime a religion as Islam.
If we make an effort to advertise this lovely religion,
I'm sure we'll achieve very positive results.

*Hussain Rofe*

SACRIFICES

Don't be overly troubled by these sacrifices.
They are less important than you presently think.
Allah willing, you will find these
sacrifices a very cheap coin to pay for
the "goods'' (Islam) you are purchasing.

*Abu Yahya (Jerald F. Dirks), M. Div., Psy.D.

DON'T APPRECIATE THIS BLESSING

I feel sad that I was not born into Islam
as that would have made me a Muslim all my life.
While I admire those who are,
I at times pity some of them because
they don't really appreciate this blessing.

*C. Huda Dodge*

A PRAYER TO ALLAH THE MERCIFUL

May the views of those who have embraced
Islam inspire ''statistical Muslims"
to become "substantive Muslims";
and create the thirst amongst others to follow
The Straight Path of Islam.
Ameen.

ASSALAMUALAIKUM ~
